On Thursday 13th October, The John Frost School held its first ‘Welsh Baccalaureate Innovation Pitch Finals’ event. Year 13 students have been working extremely hard in their teams, using their creative and digital skills to create pitches for their ‘Enterprise and Employability’ innovation business ideas. Four finalist groups were selected to go and present in the finals event – Vivacity (Claudia Dupe, Emily Lovell, Billy-Joe Murphy), Mighty Maths Society (Jake Thomas, Charles Williams and Christian Madden), Fitaf (Sam Rutherford, James Morgan, Azim Ullah, Tom Evans, Luke Wakefield) and Ddihafal (Rabina Jabbar, Delruba Begum, Maaera Ali, Tasmiya Maliha).
We were delighted to welcome Carol van den Berg (ABC Electrification), Sarah Hopkins (Wales and West Utilities), Trudi Marsden (JFS School Governor) and Mr Jon Wilson (Head Teacher) to act alongside Mrs Goold as our panel of Judges. The Judges were very impressed with the quality of work and found great difficulty in choosing a winner. However, Team Vivacity just had the edge and were the overall winners. Thanks to our Judges generosity, all students who presented, received prizes.
Da iawn pawb!!
