Sixth Form

Students who are interested in enrolling in the Sixth Form will also find updated documents in this section of the website.

Here students can access information which details the curriculum offer available to them when they start Y12.  Draft versions of this document are posted in this section of the website during the summer term every year.

The curriculum offer for Y12 is not finalised until the beginning of September and this is when students’ course choices are confirmed.  The John Frost School is part of the Newport West Collaboration at Sixth Form level. This means that students are able to select from a wide range of courses on offer at our school, as well as at Bassaleg School, Newport High School and St Joseph’s RC High School.

We provide significant support to students in Year 11 in terms of deciding their pathway after compulsory education; including lots of advice in relation to subject choices at AS level if this is the path most suitable for them.
